When we talk about delicious desserts, the first thing which suddenly strikes the mind is the cupcakes. They are easy to make and do not even require a lot of energy.
So, here I am again to tell you a delicious recipe for making strawberry cupcakes at home. This is an easy and simple recipe that can be prepared in under an hour.
Also to prepare strawberry cupcakes I have made sure the kitchen equipment that has to be used to prepare the recipe, should be something very normal in your kitchen so that you don’t have to buy any new utensils and can be made using normal equipment that is there in the kitchen.
Types of Equipment you need for preparing Strawberry Cupcakes:
- Some bowls (bowls of all sizes)
- A set of kitchen knives
- A spatula for mixing
- Basic kitchen cutlery
- Cooking spray
- Oven
- Baking sheet
- Toothpick
- Stand mixer
This equipment is enough to prepare the delicious strawberry cupcake at your home. In about an hour, the cupcakes will be ready to be served.
Ingredients required for making strawberry cupcakes:
- 1 and ⅔ cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 small spoon of baking powder
- ¼ small spoon of baking soda
- 3/4 cup of unsalted butter
- ½ small spoon of salt
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 small spoons of vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup of sour cream
- ¼ cup + 2 small spoons of milk
- 1 and a half cups of chopped strawberries
Instructions to be followed for making strawberry cupcakes at home:
- Preheat the oven at 350F degrees and prepare the cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
- Now, take a bowl and add flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt to the bowl and keep it aside.
- Take a large bowl, whisk the melted butter, sugar, and vanilla extract together until everything is mixed well.
- Add the eggs and whisk them together until they are combined.
- Add the sour cream and whisk again nicely.
- Add milk and dry ingredients and again whisk it properly.
- Now, fold the chopped strawberries and fill the cupcake liners a little more than half, and bake it for 18-20 mins.
- Then, remove the cupcakes and keep them on the rack and let them cool.
- It’s time to, add the strawberries into a food processor, and blend properly to make a puree.
- Boil the puree into a saucepan on medium heat and keep stirring. The puree will be reduced from ¾ cup to ¼ or ½ cup in about 10-15mins.
- Now, cool the puree at room temperature.
- Take a large bowl and add about half of the powdered sugar and mix until it becomes smooth.
- Add 4 small spoons of strawberry puree, vanilla extract, and salt to the frosting and mix well.
- Serve the cupcakes after piping the frost on the cupcakes.
