Spring Rolls Recipe With Shrimp and Vegetable

There are many spring rolls dishes recipes out there but have you ever tried Vietnamese fresh spring rolls. These rolls are made of lettuce, shrimp, pork, herbs, etc.

Ingredients

  • Pork – 10 oz
  • Piece of ginger – 1 Thumb sized
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Raw shrimps 1 lb
  • Rice paper wrappers – 16
  • Soft smaller pieces lettuce – 2 cups
  • Thai basil
  • 3”-4” long pieces chives
  • Fresh herbs like mint or cilantro
  • Cooked rice vermicelli noodles – 8 oz

Instructions

  • Take a pan and add water. Now add pork and partially cook it for a minute.
  • Now strain out the liquid.
  • Again take a pan and add water in it and boil it.
  • When water starts boiling add pork, salt, and ginger. If you find any foam, skim it off.
  • And lower the flame to simmer and cover it with a lid slightly askew.
  • After cooking for half an hour, immediately transfer pork to ice water.
  • Take a pan and add clean water and boil.
  • Now add the shrimp and boil.
  • When shrimps are cooked, immediately put in ice water.
  • Now take a knife and cut thin pork slices.
  • Now before slicing the shrimp, peel it and then cut it in half. If you want you can remove veins.
  • Now set up all the ready ingredients in front of you.
  • Now take a bowl and add clean water in it.
  • Now take one rice paper and dip it and then place it on the plate.
  • Now first add lettuce layers.
  • Then make a layer of fresh herbs.
  • Now layer vermicelli noodles.
  • Now fold two sides of rice paper over each other.
  • Now add pork slices.
  • Now make a layer of 2 pieces of shrimp.
  • Roll it and your spring roll dish is ready to serve.
  • Make rolls with remaining rice papers in the same way.
  • Serve these tasty spring rolls with dipping sauce. Your love and kids will love it.

Tips

You can add veggies of your choice. You can add carrot or cucumber and make a layer of these too.
