Main Ingredients:

  • 12 mini flour tortillas,
  • 1-pound 80/20 ground beef of around 453 grams,
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil,
  • 12 slices of American cheese,
  • Diced ½ white onion,
  • 24 slices of pickles,
  • Shredded iceberg lettuce. 

Sauce:

  • ¼ cup of mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp of tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp sweet relish
  • 1 tsp of yellow mustard
  • ½ tsp of white vinegar
  • ½ tsp of sugar
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp of garlic powder
  •  ¼ tsp of onion powder

Tips to be Noted:

  • Use the flour tortillas only so that you will get the real flavor of the buns used in burgers.
  • Any melted cheese will work in this, you can even choose the processed cheese. 

Instructions:

  1. Firstly, we will make the sauce by combining all the ingredients for the sauce mentioned above in a small bowl.
  2. Then we need to divide the meat into 12 equal portions, and then you need to Mold them in the shape of balls of one small handful of each.
  3. On the flour tortilla, you need to put the ball-shaped beef prepared over it, and then press it till it touches the edges of the tortilla, covering all the edges. Drizzle some salt and pepper as per your taste.
  4. Heat the pan over medium-high heat, add some vegetable oil, and place the tortilla touching the pan with the meat side. With the help of a spatula, cook it for 3-4 minutes until the meat turns brown for a smashed burger effect.
  5. Now turn the tortilla to the other side to get cooked, and place a slice of cheese over the meat and wait for it to melt.
  6. Turn off the gas, place the tortilla on the serving dish, and now add the red onions, pickles, and shredded lettuce to it. Then add the magical sauce created as a topping and serve it warm for a delightful twist of flavor.
