Ingredients for Swirl

  • Sugar – 3 tbsp
  • Ground cinnamon – 4 tsp

For Cupcakes

  • All-purpose flour-1 1/2 cups
  • Ground cinnamon – 1 1/2 tsp
  • Baking powder 1 1/2 tsp
  • Salt – 1/2 tsp
  • Unsalted butter -6 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil2 tbsp
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Vanilla extract1 1/2 tsp
  • Large eggs – 2
  • Milk – 3/4 cup

For the Cinnamon Sugar Frosting

  • Unsalted butter -1 1/4 cups
  • Powdered sugar – 5 cups
  • Ground cinnamon – 2 1/2 tsp
  • Vanilla extracts – 1 tsp
  • Water or milk – 2–3 tbsp
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Take a bowl which can be small one and add cinnamon and powdered sugar in bowl and mix. Keep this bowl aside.
  • Take a bowl and add flour, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon and mix it nicely.
  • Take a big bowl and add oil, butter, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar and mix with a blender.
  • When the mixture becomes fluffy and color changes add egg whites and again blend with a blender.
  • Now add half a portion of the flour mixture kept ready in another bowl and mix it nicely.
  • Add milk and blend.
  • Add remaining flour mixture and mix it till all ingredients are nicely combined.
  • Add milk and again blend with a blender till the batter becomes smooth. Don’t over mix the batter, keep this in mind.
  • Arrange cupcake liners on the baking sheet.
  • Add one scope of batter at the bottom of cupcake liners.
  • Now spread cinnamon powder and sugar mix.
  • Again add one scope of batter.
  • Add cinnamon powder and sugar mix and sprinkle on it.
  • Now place the baking sheet and bake for 15 to 18 minutes at the temperature of 350°F (176°C).
  • After 15 minutes take out the baking sheet and check with a toothpick. Insert a toothpick in a cupcake. When you take it out if its clean that means it is ready and if you find some wet ingredient on it, bake for a few more mins.
  • When cupcakes are baked, keep them aside to cool down.
  • Till the cupcakes cool down let us make the frosting.
  • Take a big bowl and add butter and blend with a blender.
  • When the butter gets smooth, add half a portion of powdered sugar and mix and combine well.
  • Add vanilla extract, salt, cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of milk and blend.
  • Add remaining powdered sugar and blend.
  • If you need then you can add a little bit more milk and blend.
  • When the frosting becomes smooth and fluffy, add frosting mixture on pastry bags and add icing on ready cupcakes.
  • Sprinkle some cinnamon-sugar mixture and serve. Do keep in minds that add cinnamon sugar when you are ready to serve or eat or else this mixture will soak the moisture of cupcakes.
